There was a sad accident that happened here in the Puget Sound area this weekend and unfortunately my family had a front row view of it. My husband and son love to scuba dive. They went for a dive late Saturday afternoon. There is an awesome fish and chips place near the dive site and Sarah and I  often meet them after their dives for dinner and we did so on Saturday. The boys had been out of the water and their gear for about 15 minutes and we were just starting to eat (it is take out style food) when a woman came into the parking lot looking for any divers….there was a diver down and they needed help. My husband immediately got back into his gear and headed back out. The kids and I headed to the beach to see what was going on. A woman diver had run out of air (not sure what had happened as this is a rare thing) but was found and brought to the surface to be aided by the huge emergency response. Unfortunately, the outcome was sad and she was not able to be revived.  I am very proud of my husband for his quick response to help….Trev want to go to but we did not feel it was the appropriate thing for him to do. (I was very glad to hear Trev recite the procedures that need to be followed should he and my hubby find themselves in a similar situation.) The entire situation did give me pause….life can change so quickly!

I spent much of yesterday with my kids, I had planned to do a bit of work, but felt the need to spend time with them instead. The last of tags were packed today and will be in the mail tomorrow (I had hoped for today but…) I will be glad to see the last box  gone and into your hands!! LOL!

Tomorrow, I will be working on…and hopefully finishing…the Wheelbarrow pattern.  When I first posted the Kit Reservations, I had planned a wheel that needed a die cut. As I worked on the project, I changed the method I am using for the front wheel and a die cut is not needed. For those who have already received your kit and wondered where the die cut was, it was replaced with additional paper for the method I will be using. This kind of thing may happen with the kit reservation system. If I replace an item, it will always be with an item of equal or greater value.  While we are on the subject of the kit reservations, this system is new to us all and will take some getting used to. As I am transitioning, please be aware that the reserved kits will likely arrive before the pattern is released.

Have an awesome week! I can’t believe my son will turn 15 on Friday!….he was just a tiny baby yesterday!!!!
