Flight

Many of you have been anticipating the Transportation series since I first announced it a few months ago. Last week I released a sneak peek of the first in the series – Flight. The Transportation series has a more masculine flavor since it is inspired by the men in my life: The airplane for my father (a pilot) and my husband (a Boeing engineer), the second, a train, for both of my grandfathers who worked for the railroad in Chicago, and lastly, a vintage yacht for my brother who races sailboats. Along side these projects will be a second, more feminine version. Both series are based on Air, Land, and Sea. The box and mini album will be the same, the difference will be the elements in the shadow box. BOTH versions will be included in the pattern. The first of this parallel series, Enchanted Elements, also called Flight, features a Paper Applique hummingbird. I have been literally begged to do more with my Paper Applique since the owl I did for G45 a couple of years ago, so I will finally have a pattern with this technique for you to create your own. Her are the fronts of each of the case fronts. I will be working on the mini albums inside and will post them when I have them far enough along.

The kits for the Transportation Series: Flight (the airplane one) is sold out and will be shipping starting tomorrow. The new Enchanted Elements: Flight (the hummingbird one) kits will go up today at 4 pm PDT and will be shipping early next week.

I am really excited about these projects! I will be making the cover of both projects on the Ustream shows (schedule to begin after the Generations album) and will have both versions of the mini album for you to see.

Just so gorgeous…may regret my decision not to buy any more kits until vacation is over! I know I will definitely buy this pattern though…my Mother-in-law loves hummingbirds! 🙂

Purely amazing! You complete astound me with your creations. My Father in law worked for Boeing and was a Pilot in WWII.

The hummingbird is just beautiful. I love hummers and enjoy seeing them come to the feeders in our yard. We also plant flowers to attract them as well. I can’t wait to make this paper version!
