Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there…most especially to my husband, Rich.
My very first mini album was one that was about my own Dad. He passed away in 1987 in a small plane crash in Alaska. I made this album back in May of 2009…wow, so much has happen in the 5 years since. I have posted it on my blog before, but I thought I would share it again.
This was also one of my first Youtube videos. In those days, videos could not exceed 10 minutes. My first attempt went 27 minutes. I’ve never gotten the hang of editing so I learned very quickly to talk fast! It was pretty funny to go back to listen to this video!
Enjoy your day!
Laura
Thank you for sharing your book and loving tribute to your dad. I loved mine dearly.
That was beautiful Laura, I cried when you talked about the warm fuzzies, because I get them when I think of my mom. I really believe that when they pop in our minds out of nowhere, it is because they are actually with us in spirit. Happy Fathers Day đ
Beautiful album. I have loved it from the first time u showed it on you tube. We should all make this album as a filler class. Just a thought. Happy Fathers Day to all the men in my life. đ
Laura…..Loved revisiting this delightful tribute to your father!. This remains one of the best minis on You Tube! Every design technique you used has been etched into my mini album memory. It is because of you, and your wonderful videos, that I have become successful at creating, and selling, mini albums. You are the inspiration that drew many of us into this paper arena. Thank you so much!!
Laura this is just lovely. I lost my father in 1989 but no matter how old we get or no matter how much time goes by ” Father’s Day” still is a very important day in our lives.
I too feel like Archangel as that our Mama or Dads are very close at times. I miss my Mom and Gramma. I love this Tribute and devotion to your Father. He was obviously one heck of a Huge figure in your life. I’m happy for you for that. Not all children are as blessed as you. I’m grateful you were. Thanks for what you do for the people in your life I bet your Man is a Great Dad. Thx, Lynda, S.L.C.,UTAH
Great Album Laura!
No matter how much time has passed, it still seems like yesterday. Have a wonderful day with your husband and family! Make it a special day!!!!

Wow, that album is fabulous, and as your first album it is completely amazing. Thank you for sharing…
Laura,
Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring to see what you did. I cried also because it made me think of my mom who I lost 2 years ago. I bet your pappa is watching you every day and has a big smile on his face knowing how successful you have become in everything you do.
Thank you for sharing your album. It’s so nice to have the pictures and memories that go with them. Happy Fathers Day..
Thanks Laura for sharing your album. My dad died in 1978 and my mom in 1992. She destroyed all the pics before she died so I envy your album. thanks as always for sharing. Theresa aka Mountain Dreamer
Laura you did an awesome job on your memory album of your Dad! .. I would love to do something like this for my Dad, but also for my Grandparents and my Mom. Wouldn’t it be awesome to do some type of family tree collection!
Laura, your tribute album to your dad is beautiful. It must have been fun to put this together and experience the memories as you scrapped. We all have photos lying around in a box, but to tell a story with them is what it’s really all about. A couple of the photos of your dad reminded me or your son, Trevor. I’ve only seen him a couple of times on camera but I can certainly see the family resemblance. Great work!
Thank you for sharing such a personal time in your life with us. What a beautiful tribute to your dad. At a leadership seminar we were once asked what we would remove from a burning home. Of course, the answers varied. The correct answer was , always take your photos, your memories, for they are irreplacable…..all other THINGS are. We are blessed to have you in our midst, Laura.
Thanks for the memories of both the video and your loving tribute to your Dad. You look like your Dad Laura !
That is really special! What an awesome keepsake for you and your family, and a wonderful legacy for those to come! Thank you for sharing with us! Have a wonderful day!
