First, I wish to thank you all for your prayers, kind words and condolences during this difficult time for my family. You have no idea what it has meant to myself and my family. The Paper Doodles are the BEST!!
I have had time to reflect and think about the direction and projects we have coming up in the next several months. I have so many ideas and am so excited to share those ideas that I REALLY wanted to make sure that I schedule things so we can maximize the use of our time and resources. As you know, I hate getting behind and being in reactive mode instead of proactive mode. I think I have come up with a plan to really use time wisely and create many of the types of projects you all have been asking for. I really think this system will have a little bit of everything. Maybe it will inspire you to stretch your wings and try something new, or use up a bit or your stash or allow you to fit a quick project into you over busy schedule!
With this schedule I am allowing myself some flexibility, creating a do-able sequence of projects, and revisiting an old friend for some creative play time. I will still continue my 3 -a-week Ustream schedule  and also have some projects available outside of the ustream schedule. We will have construction projects, non-construction projects, mixed media, home decor, and bit of dollmaking and jewelry as well….hopefully something for everyone!
Here is my proposed schedule:
Each month we will have a Constructed Project such as the new Once Upon a Time Series, the Maple Street Series, or other 3D projects. (Yes, the Potting Bench for the G45 CHA booth is one of the upcoming projects as is the Thumbelina House). Each month we will also a another “Other” Project. This may be an album, a Paper AppliquĂŠ project, a mixed media project, or…. Â With either the Constructed Project or the “Other” projects, these will take 4 to 5 Ustream classes to complete. You can check out the Schedule Tab here on the website. These classes will be held on the Friday and Sunday slots in the Ustream schedule.
On Wednesdays, we are going to be returning to our What’s Up Wednesday format from several years ago. I used to do this series on Youtube in my early days. While I will do these quick classes on Ustream on Wednesday’s, I will post the recorded videos on both my website and on Youtube. These quick classes will start in February and each month should include the following formats:
- Product demos. This can be new products or older products or tools. You may have things that you don’t know how they really work or how they can do things you never thought about. There are a ton of new things coming out that we can explore the possibilities of what they do.
- Techniques Demos. We will play with different techniques to create backgrounds, flowers, embossing, etc. the sky is the limit here. Let’s play “What if”!
- Home Decor, Organizing your Space, Jewelry, etc. These maybe the perfect quick gifts, quick little albums, or  fun little items that you can make with minimal investment.
- Personal Album/Art Journal pages. This is hot in the industry right now and I will show you my take on it in the style of a personal album not just a artsy journal….sort of like my “On the fly” pages in the past.
Outside of the Ustream classes we will also be moving forward with a couple of mini album formats. My Turn the Page system has been a HUGE success!….and I am still finishing up the last few sections! (The 2014 Turn the Page system will be complete in the next week or so as I get back on track.) Soon, I will be introducing the 2015 Turn the Page version. The two versions can be used independently and they can be mingled together. You do not need to have the 2014 version to use the 2015 version and vice versa. The new 2015 version will include new pages that can be used along with the 2014 pages as well as some new larger pages for those who like a larger format. This version will not be released until I have the written tutorials done and the videos complete….playing catch up is not my idea of fun! We will continue to have kits for the Turn the Page systems and will be showing samples from the kits made by me and from the growing list of volunteers who wish to make a sample. This is intended to give you inspiration to create your own albums that are uniquely your own.
If you liked my One and Done album and the format for it on my website, you will love this new series: Â Must-D-Stash Albums! These will be fast and easy albums presented in a video tutorial format with an enhanced cutting guide. Like the One and Done project, the video will be available in your account after you purchase. These will be perfect for the beginning crafter and quick go-to projects for the experienced crafter. While these are designed to use up some of your stash of product that you have overflowing out of closets drawers and boxes, I will have a limited number of kits available for those who want one just like mine.
To say I am excited about what we have coming up would be an understatement! First up is catching up the remaining projects we have on the docket from the end of last year. As I noted above, I will be finishing up the Turn the Page 2014 system videos and I will be shipping out the DVD/USB’s once the videos are complete. On Ustream we will be completing the Snowman House as well as the Set Sail/Under the Sea Memory Portal project and Center Part Mini Album. The Southern Belle House will be completed via videos that will be available in my website Archives. These projects have high priority and I will be aiming to get as much completed by the end of January as possible.
For those who watch my CHA recap show live or on the video, I will be doing the drawing on Sunday evening so make sure you leave the appropriate comment to be in the drawing! Please note that there is no class on Sunday this week.
Laura
PS I will be ordering more of the SOLD OUT Stick It sheet on Monday. I should have them back in stock by the end of the week!

I like yourself Laura am very interested in many aspects of paper rafting. I believe it to be a crafty art form, beautiful unto itself. My kit for riding the rails came the other day and I got the greatest compliment from my husband. When I opened it I got so excited I shared my excitement with my husband. He said I sounded like you Laura. You have enabled my spirit to come back alive. For that I thank you.
Looking forward to your what up Wednesday and Must-d-Stash series! And I also want to win one of those adorable bags, specifically the ranger bag!

Thank you for designing with our paper stashes in mind, too! đ
I haven’t been able to catch too many of your shows the last few months, but am hoping to change that this year. Excited to see some new techniques and ideas! Such pretty bags you brought back from CHA. I think it would be fun just to flip through all those catalogs and see the new stuff!

The New Year sounds very exciting. I will do my best to step out of my comfort zone. With you as the guide it will be an exciting year full of fun. Did I ever tell you that I love BAGS. Thanks for all you do. đ
As one door closes, another one opens. One can only imagine the year ahead for us with your creativity , never disappointing, always inspirational. It was You Tube videos by Laura, that brought back that spirit from within me, when I was stricken with a mystery disease, one of a kind , my neuromuscular specilist declared one day, almost five years ago. Although I’m wheelchair bound, I try to be as positive as possible…..I thank you for your SPIRIT,..the one who opened the door . The year is ours to choose with so many opportunities in your schedule.I’m just not sure where I should begin….guidance needed, please.
My Life is slowly getting back to normal, I hope to catch more of your classes soon! Thanks for all you do?
Watched the show last night and am excited about the Wednesday class. Even though I have been scrapping for a few years, I certainly don’t know as much as your great talents

Thanks for sharing all of your ideas and opinions on new products and trends. I look forward to the next year and seeing your beautiful creations. The awesome tote bags you showed last night are wonderful and if I had to pick a favorite it would be difficult, any of them would be great. Thanks for all you do, I think of you often, Marilyn.
Looking forward to the mixed media, jewelry and doll making inspiration!
I’m very excited for the stick it sheets!!!I love intricate dies but don’t like the glue oozing out when I’m sticking the dies cut down. I can’t wait for them to be back in stock. Thank you for giving us the chance to win one of the bags :)!!!

Thank you so much Laura for all the inspiration! I for one am all for technique classes and quick projects. Sending continued prayers for you and yours, remember that God draws crooked lines and then makes them straight. HUGS!
Love the new 2015 “schedule”. Hoping to adjust the Filio pattern when available to hold the 4×6 Technique Tags you talked about…think that would be the perfect album to store them! Even before you showed the bags last night, I had left a whiney note on the Ranger site about really having to have on of their bags. I thought that blown up panel of the designer’s work at the Ranger booth looked amazing…and then I saw the bags! Oh my…I so want that bag! Thanks for at least the chance to get have one!
I love all those new products from CHA. I love those bags too. Looking forward to many new projects.
Thank you, for the chance to win a bag. Looking forward to all the fun in 2015.
Love your 2015 schedule, Can not wait for you to begin
I would love to get a tour of your craft area, how do you have your tools, papers, embellishments and etc. organized? A topic for “What’s Up Wednesday” could be Papers, how do you organize your stash of them; by color, theme, flowers from the solids and strips; then how do you coordinate the colors and patterns with each other? Better yet, can my sister, Helen, ( who loves your projects too) and I drop by and visit you and maybe we’ll get a tour of your craft room, the only words you would here from us would be “oh my gosh, look at that, Ohhhh”.
Here’s a better one, have an open house and see how many Doodles stop by and say “Hi, is this for sale?” LOL
Love what you do and if I get organized I’ll actually work on one of the projects I bought from you.
I am soo excited for this coming year in crafting- Lots of great ideas
I would love to win one of those cute bags!

Laura you sound just as excited in this post as you did last night. Loved the new products “tour”. Do all the venders at CHA offer bags? (Just curious). Your personal pick was very artsy; and I like the thought of art journal type pages in an album! I am especially excited about you wanting to offer quick albums. I’m caregiver to my mom in her house (long term) and need a project or two I can do with minimal supplies. Everything you do is beautiful and I get the urge do everything. Thank goodness for stored videos and tutorials. I can always come back. Thanks, Laura for everything you do for us Paper Doodles!

I have learned so much over the Years from watching you and have enjoyed watching your children and animals grow up. would L-O-V-E to win one of your bags! I know the sorrow you feel in loosing family members, as I lost my Mother on January 3rd. of this year also. It’s hard to get back on track and the sadness remains hidden under the smiles. Be good to yourself and take time to grieve and don’t worry so much about the projects waiting to be done. Your true followers will understand and love you for who you are. Thanks for sharing so much with your PaperDoodles! LOL
Looking forward to all of the new projects you have planned in the new year. The CHA bags are great!
I really enjoyed the CHA update on Ustream last night! So many new and inventive “must haves”. The tote bags were really cool too!!! As always, I look forward to your new, upcoming projects!

Thank you, Laura, Joy, and Lani, for letting us see 2015 CHA through your eyes. Last night I enjoyed the review of the new papers, products, tools, and especially the vendorsâ bags. Hi Laura,
Absolutely love your ideas for 2015 schedule. Am so looking forward to the mixed media sessions as I just love mixed media. Also think the Must D Stash sessions will be great, everyone has stock they don’t know what to do with and you have come up with a great way to use it up. You are always coming up with new ideas. I think you must have an extraordinary mind to continue coming up with project after project for us. Thanks for broadcasting from CHA and for the rundown on your top 5 likes. I especially liked the mistery item, the Stick It. That is the first time I have seen or heard of it and I love the fact that you can’t see it when using vellum or acitate. You must have the same taste in thi gs as me because I just adorned the ranger bag too but in saying that, I wouldn’t mind winning any one of the bags. So, please put me in the draw for one of the bags.
Thank you and take care.

Thank you, Laura, for all of the new and exciting things coming our way this year! It’s going to be a great one and I can’t wait to get started! You are a creative genius, and we are all very lucky to have found you! Please enter my name in the drawing for the bag. Thank you again!!
Laura, glad you had such a good time at CHA. Would love a bag, Ranger or Tim would be nice. There are so many things to do and try. The fuse tool looks like a very useful addition. It will make it easier for some of the things I am already incorporating in some of my books. Glad I got on your list. And I will have to get in on the second round of adhesive. Missed the first. thanks as always for sharing. Theresa aka Mountain Dreamer
LAURA,
Anything you make turns out to be a piece of art. I have come far in my crafting life because of your videos, patterns and weekly shows. I am also one of the silent watchers but I look so forward to your classes. Cant wait to see what you do . Hope I win a bag….. (Not that I need one ..LOL ) God bless you and your family.
I would love one of the CHA bags …. but I also can’t wait for Turn the Page 2015! I still would like to see kits for the Turn the Page as well!
I really like the must d stach! I would like a bag from CHA!
May God Bless You and Your Family in this New Year! Your projects and schedule sound Wonderful and one can never have ‘too many bags’! Thank you for your inspiration–and generosity!
Laura, I am so sorry for the double (really more than that) whammy your family has been dealing with. I hope this year will be full of better times, good health, and much success. I am so happy to hear that you are returning to whats up Wednesday format! This is where I first discovered your genius and fell in love with your videos. The projects were short enough and doable… over and over! I would really like to see you take something like your (100 different) MINI albums and really “deck” them out with mixed media techniques. THANK YOU for sharing CHA with the doodles! My head is spinning with all of its percolating ideas for 2015. I can only imagine that yours is about to explode! LOL, best wishes!
Your schedule for 2015 sounds absolutely exciting, look forward to enjoying it!

I really need to win the lottery or marry a rich man, odds are beter winning the lotto, so I can get all the great items you showed from CHA. Until that happens I would like to enter the drawing for one of the bags.
