…the new Wednesday class time of 10 am PDT (that’s 1pm EDT, Noon CDT, and 11 am MDT) Moving the time up gives me a greater portion of the day to work on NEW projects. Pssst!…..the aliens showed up and whisked me away for a bit….bound to happen with all of the UFO’s floating around!!!
Most of what I am digging through is fabric and fabric projects, unfinished quilts, cut out quilts, old class samples and boatloads of dust!!! Allergies in high gear! The cats keep coming in all freaked out at the changes…new crannies to explore!!! It is kind of like a giant game of Rubiks cube…move this there and that here. Put the table in the new location, move that back to over there and then this can go here. Unload a shelf, stack everything over there. Move the shelf after you move the stack of tubs to under the table. Move the shelf…. put stuff back on shelf….though that stuff is going onto a different shelf but it has other junk on it. Move the tubs where the shelf was so that you can move the baskets. Take the table down……ok you get the picture!!! I figure everything will move a minimum of 3 times before it finds a home! It’s a crazy mess but, the mess of before was adding to the stress of everything else….it was getting to a point that I couldn’t move!! Tomorrow after my Ustream class I will move my work desk and computer so I will broadcast from my new “location” in the room on Friday.
Laura
I know that feeling! This is my “job” every sunday afternoon, and when I am finished, I promise myself that I am not going to do it next sunday, but boy o boy, it is the same thing every week! GOOD LUCK.
Been there …..almost done that. I did a MAJOR “restyling” last august, but somehow got mired down just short of finishing and it has been overing there ever since. Talk about puzzle pieces!
But just when it looks like post nuclear havock at it’s absolute worst the things start to “magically” fall into place. As they say “it is always darkest before dawn”…..
Can’t wait to see the new “command bridge” 🙂

Come up for air on occasion!! LOL! good luck!!
Sounds like you are on a roll…..stick your head out of the jumble once in a while to take a breath!!!!
Revamping is a huge undertaking. I wish you lot’s of luck. Have done this a few times, and it takes a while if you are like me and hate to part with something you think might come in handy. After all, you bought most of it because you couldn’t resist and were sure you needed it at the time right?????? Well, just remember you don’t move mountains over night and there is a saying, “you have to make a mess to clean a mess”. So very true!!!! See you later today on ustream.
Marcie
I am going through the same process so I know how the mess gets worse until you are done. I am trying to do this with fibromyalgia and myalfacal pain and sinus problems. I can only work a few hours a day and suffer from the pain for days. I have missed your show but I understand your family needs and cleaning out. Take care, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I have a ustream beginner’s queston-can the broadcast be watched at other times?
Thanks
Your room will be fabulous when you are done. Just what you need right at your finger tips. Doesn’t it feel good to purge? Take care and remember to take some me time. Hugs.
Laura,
I can relate to what you are doing. We moved from a 4 bedroom plus house to an apartment. Took a shoe horn to move in. Now have sorted my craft room 5 times already. Only lived here 9 months so far. You must be getting close to what you want by now. I know that it is starting to work for me bit by bit. Good luck and P.S. don ‘t pack one of the cats into any boxes. Happened to me once. All of a sudden a paw was reaching upward. Yikes, scared the living out of me. 🙂
