I have had an awesome week here on the blog and I want to celebrate! I think it is time for a giveaway!! (NO April Fool’s here!)
Next week on Ustream, we will be making not one, but two projects with Graphic 45 paper…the Fairy House (Once Upon a Springtime) and the Circus Tent (le Cirque). In honor of making the 2011 Design Team for Graphic 45, I’m giving away one of each of the kits! (the rest of the kits and the patterns will be up on my website on Saturday…lots of Mom duty this week has it delayed!)
And there is more… in celebration of heading of to Ranger at the end of April, I am giving away a group of Ranger products so that you can be ready to play along with me when I return!
Here’s what you need to do:
Leave a comment with your favorite Graphic 45 paper line AND the Ranger product you want to learn how to use (or the one you love the most!) I will do the drawing tomorrow (Saturday, April 2) at 3pm Pacific Time.
Tonight we will be using punches again to make 3D flowers for seed packet pockets. We will be modifying my Life’s a Picnic Mini Album pattern in to a Easter basket. Below is a PDF of the seed packet pocket I designed for this class. I will eventually be making this in to a rubber stamp….but for now, you can click on the photo and then print to 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock. Please use this pocket all you want for your personal use… please don’t pass it around or use it in classes, etc. The finished pocket will measure 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

The Ranger product I would like to learn how to use is the new Distress Stain, the colors look great and easy to use.

I love the Once Upon A Springtime collection. So refreshing after all the “winter” colors. Congrats on making the design team….there really wasn’t any other choice! Congratulations Laura! Frankly I have never used Graphic 45 (believe it or not) but now that you are part of their team I will have to try their papers. I like the Once Upon Springtime paper though. Lots of beautiful work out there with it. Yes I would like to use the “Distress Stains” too. I am sure you will show us the endless possibilities.

So hard to choose but the Once Upon a Springtime are my current favorite papers and I so wish I could learn to do more with the UTEE from Ranger…so many artists seem to do so many fun things with it!

My favorite Graphic 45 paper would have to be Curtain Call, I can’t help but go crazy with it every time it gets in my hands. And a Ranger product I would love to learn how to use, is the the alcohol inks, (for some reason Joann’s won’t ship them to me in Hawaii so I’ve never tried them) but I have no idea what all different things you can do with these inks compared to any others.
The most awesome Graphic 45 product is the Once Upon a Springtime collection – have bought 4 packs of each “thing” as I love this more than anything I have ever seen and will use it up in no time. My granddaughter use to write notes to the fairies that lived in our garden and they answered her – I saved them and will do a special mini for her. I love the new Once upon a springtime. I didn’t think I did until I saw what you did with this amazing paperline. And I want to learn more about all the Ranger stuff but the new stains really look like interesting. Can’t wait until you are back and ready to teach us. It excited me when you had earlier that you were going to be teaching us some techniques once a month and the once a month kit and so on because I love everything you do but have to pick and choose which ones I can afford. It’s hard because I WANT THEM ALL.

I just knew that you would be chosen! Congratulations! My favorite Graphic 45 paper line of all time is Once Upon a Springtime. However, I must admit to owning bits and pieces of all of their lines. The Ranger line I would love to learn more about: the alcohol inks. I don’t even own any because I have no idea what to do with them.
You know what I have to say that I also love curtain call by Graphic 45 as well. I was just rewatching the album you did with that paper and its really pretty as well.
My favorite G45 paper is Playtimes Past. It reminds me of happy times in my grandma’s attic and all the antique toys she had there to play with. I would like to learn more about using Perfect Pearls. I’ve taken two classes using them now, and just can’t seem to use them effectively. Congratulations, again, and thanks for the fabulous giveaways!

Oh my goodness, I forgot to say what ranger product I would like to learn how to use. Again, that is hard as I have many, but I think I would like more ideas on how to use Alcohol inks better. I do a lot of metal work and embossing and would love how to better use them on metal! Thank you so much for asking.

My favorite Graphic45 paper is the Curtain Call collection, because it is neutral and you can add any color to accent and make it pop.
The Ranger product I would like to learn more about is their new Color Stains, they seem very vibrant and can’t wait to get some.

My husband has been a clown for over 20 years and I want to make a mini album for those presently active and also those not able to clown any longer due to health issues. The Graphic 45 paper line I like is the one you just used, Botanical by Susan Wingot (spring). And all products that come with the paper line. What I have a hard time with is the alcohal inks, stains and wash. Greek to me.
Go over your list of things you have to take to college. Ranger U – as the logo says you are creative, an educator, and you inspire us.

My favorite G-45 paper is One Upon A Springtime, because it so gorgeous. It just the kind of paper that makes you smile in awe. My favorite Ranger products are distress inks and glossy accents, because they can be used to change ordinary things into extraordinary. I have a lot of Ranger products but have the darnest time trying to figure out I can use the alcohol inks in any of my papercrafting. So, if I could figure out how to use them with Graphic 45’s La Romantique paper line, I would be in paper heaven!

As for Ranger..I use and like so many of their products. The Archival inks appeal to me and of course all the things by Tim Holtz. I like the way this company seems to care about the way their products will be used.

Well done Laura. I cant wait to see the new creations you dream up for Graphic 45 (hope you can share some of them). I have watched your UStream shows since the beginning, but I was still blown away when you put all of your G45 projects together in the slideshow. My favourite paperline at the moment is Once upon a springtime. I confess to having a lot of Ranger products, but I dont know how to make the most of them. I would really like to know how to use Perfect Pearls without making a mess. Laura your projects are so inspiring but you show us that they are also “do-able” and not intimidating. CONGRATULATIONS…..boy choosing between Graphic 45 is very difficult for me….so many to love…although Upon a Springtime is gorgeous (love the colors and graphics) I am leaning toward Curtain Call…I have loved my trips to France (Paris in particular and visiting the Moulin Rouge) searching my roots, so love the flavor and feel of this paper…brings back wonderful memories….as for Ranger, I would love to learn more about the effects of alcohol inks on various types of mediums and how to achieve those results….I am excited and delighted to hear that you will be creating your own stamps for two reasons: first because I can’t wait to see what your creative mind designs; and secondly I purchased (but have yet to use) the Collins stampmaker and if that is what you will be using, watching you use it and your opinion of it, would be most valued…..the fairy house and circus tent would be perfect for my twin grandbabies (a boy and a girl) so I have my fingers crossed….best of luck on your new venture and I hope this leads to many more opportunities for you….

This is my first time leaving a comment but I have been watching Laura in awe for a month or so. I can’t believe she lives so close yet I’ve never heard of her until now. I have been missing so much. This is rare talent I have not seen before. And it is so wonderful she is going to work with Ranger products. Tim Holtz is one of my favorites as well as Graphic 45 papers. My favorite Graphic 45 paper is Once Upon a Springtime. I cannot get enough of that paper and should probably buy stock in that company. lol The Ranger product besides the stain which several people have mentioned are the embossing folders. I’m sure there is much more one can do with them other than the obvious. So come on Laura, dazzle me. Thanks and best wishes.

Congrats Laura! I have to be honest and tell you that I never knew about G45 until I saw last year’s Halloween in Wonderland… huge nut about Halloween! And what I really know from Ranger are products by Tim Holtz and I use stickles at Christmas. I would like to see more w/distressing stains and alcohol inks. I was getting bored w/the same old, same old, until I stumbled onto your blog and you’ve inspired me with all your wonderful talent!

2011 seems to be your year from the very first day! Many congratulations! May you continue to shine throughout 2011. Distress ink pads are my most favorite and most used Ranger product. I have all 36 colors and have used them all, and Stickles – have them all too. Distress embossing powders is what I want to use more. Have hardly used them at all, but need to become more familiar with them.
CONGRATS!!!!!! But I knew you would make it! Fav G45 is so hard to pick one. Love the Once Upon A springtime right now but Curtain Call is right up there too! I am struggling with Ranger Alochol inks on metal, I have tried using on jewelry findings and if I miss a spot and go back it removes what I had on. If I want to use jump rings and color them etc.

This line is so perfect and verstile. I am surronded by males, I have 3 sons, no daughters 2 brothers and no sisters and of course my wonderful husband of 35 years and my dad who will be 80 this month. Thank you for such an awesome give-away! I first saw you on ustream when you demonstrated how to mix acrylic paints; learned so much then and continue to. My current favorite Graphic 45 paper line is “LeCirque.” I’m surprised because I’m not a circus fan but this paper is incredible. Congratulations Laura on being chosen by the folks at Graphic 45. You are so deserving and will make a great additon to their design team. I would have to say my favorite is Curtain Call. I can’t seem to get enough of it. As always, the designs are fabulous and I love the quality of the paper. Having trouble finding the pads in Once Upon a Springtime, but look forward to working with them. I have been using Ranger products for years and have one of Tim’s videos. I love the Perfect Pearls and use the Distress Inks on almost everything. I also have the Alcohol Inks but would like to learn more about how to use them. Also interested in the new stains. Congratulation on joining Tim and the Ranger group. I know you will have a blast. I am so glad I found your site and enjoy every Friday night and Saturday morning.

Congratulations Laura! You inspire everyone, the world over. I am in England, and can’t wait to watch your recordings first thing on Saturday mornings whilst having my breakfast, and have been known to try and stay awake to watch the live recordings! (usually unsuccessfully I might add!)It’s a hard one trying to pick just one Graphic 45, but at the moment I think it has to be Curtain Call. Or maybe Steampunk Debutante. I would love to learn more about the alcohol inks or distress stains, and I do have a ‘thing’ at the moment for the pumice stone Distress stickles; seem to be covering everything in it! Omg! You are so generous!!! My favourite G45 is the Christmas Past… I had to buy an extra stack just in case they didn’t come back. The most exiting Ranger product right now must be the distress stains… I bought three of them but haven’t really played with them yet.

I don’t have the name brand paper lines. I only have what I pick-up at my local crafts stores. But, on Friday, April 1st received my first Graphic 45 paper line and it is “Curtain Call”. Oh, the color scheme and designs are just beautiful! Hopefully, sometime soon I can start picking up their other lines.
I have the alcohol inks and only used once with not much success so I would love to know how to use them more effectively.

Graphic 45 is one of my favorite papers to work with. Hallowe’en in Wonderland, Once Upon a Springtime and Christmas Past have been my favorite designs to make numerous books and projects with! Ranger products from the distress inks and alcohol inks have been fun to play with to enhance the papers. I would like to see more of the different Ranger products they offer other than the inks and how to use them in different ways.
So love the G45 Springtime line and Glossy Accents has to be my favorite Ranger product. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the new Distressed Stains. Have a blast at Ranger U!!!

Thank you for the seed packet pattern. The Once Upon a Springtime is my favorite pattern. The colors are fabulous after our (still ongoing) winter here – it’s yet to get above 50 degrees, yikes! And the pattern brought back childhood memories of fairies and creativity with my mom.
The alcohol spray Ranger inks are pretty intriguing, I saw them on one of the CHA videos, Noelle Hyman’s.

All of the Rangers products seem to have so many different uses but I’d really like to learn more about their colour washes.

Love the Renaissance Collection. I suppose because it was the first Graphic 45 paper I had ever seen. Spotted it across the floor and was enchanted. Need help with what to do with the alcohol inks. So happy you made the design team. You are very talented.

My favorite Graphic 45 paper is Once Upon a Springtime. My favorite Ranger product is the Distress Stain Dabbers. I need to figure out how to use the stains still. I’ve used my Sizzix to punch out lots and lots flowers and leaves from buckram and crinoline. I haven’t punched out the organdy yet but I will. Then it’s playtime to find the best way to use the stains.

I have to say that ‘Once upon a Springtime’ is my all time favor Graphic 45 paper. I love the soft colors and the wonderful fact that they are not dark and grungy but elegant and adaptable to a wild range of project types. Would you believe that I have not had the opportunity to use G45 yet. My town is to small and I don’t have a LSS that carries it, but from the pics I would choose Once Upon A Springtime. It looks beautiful As far a ranger goes there are so many but the inks are definitely something that one must really practice with. Inks and embossing powders would be my answer.

Laura, It is so exciting to see all the great things that are happening in your scrapping life. And it is fun to be on the fringes watching it happen.
It is really hard to pick out just one product. My favorite product is usually the one I am using at the moment. For Ranger, it is probably the distressing inks. They go with so many things and add that finishing touch.
Graphic 45 got me going with the Once Upon a Springtime and is my granddaughter’s favorite. Can’t beat that. Anxiously awaiting what comes next.

I love the Graphic 45 lines, they are beautiful! I especially liked last nights ustream particularly the seed packet pocket and can’t wait to use them. I live in Portland and I am so in agreement with you about this rain, however today we have rain and then the sun comes out for an hour or so and then we get rain and hail. What is it they say, if you don’t like the weather, stick around because it will change soon!

Fantastic news for you Laura! Well done on making the Graphics 45 team. Such cool papers – I love them all and such a head-scratching choice to make but I think my favourite (so far!) is the Curtain Call. Haven’t yet used it – it’s too nice! As for Ranger well I’m not sure if the Tim Holtz ruler counts but its a friend(!). If that doesn’t count then I’d love to get some ideas from the Distress Stains… Anne x

Oh My Gosh, I posted a comment and didn’t realize I was suppose to say what my favorite Graphic 45 design was and I would have to say I couldn’t decide between Curtain Call and Once upon a Springtime. I really like them both!

For G45 – my favorite is Once Upon a Springtime! The Ranger Product I really want to learn to work with would be the Alcohol Inks!
