No way.
Really!?!
I feel just about ready for it to be…ummmm…..maybe….September?
Wow.
Anyway.
First, the Shining Light Lantern pattern is up on my website.
I am currently working on the Wardrobe Trunk samples and pattern. Yesterday, during the Ustream class I told everyone that I would give away the new Idea-o-logy Destinations version sample to someone who makes a donation to the Hurricane Sandy Relief effort. For every $5 you donate through the Red Cross (or an avenue of you choosing) you will be entered into a drawing to receive the completed sample (including monthly tags that I will create for the project). To be entered, you can either leave me a comment here on the blog with how many tickets you should have entered ($5 = 1 ticket) or if you prefer, you an email me privately at ftptwithlaura@aol.com. To donate directly to the Red Cross, CLICK HERE to go to their Hurricane Sandy Relief website. Many banks and TV stations are also collecting relief funds. You choose your method, make your donation and let me know your ticket count. Easy peasy and it can really help make a difference. I will do the drawing on November 10, 2012.
Just to let everyone know. We have heard from Zandra and she is without power but ok. Long haul ahead for her and others in the area. Nearly brought me to tears when her name came up as the winner of the Trunk kit. I will keep it safe and sound for her until she is ready to receive it. Still trying to find out about Deb Ketchum. These two friends went out of their way to take good care of me when I went to New Jersey last year for Ranger U. (I have also heard that the Ranger Family and facility is ok as well) My heart and prayers go out to all those in the midst of the devastation.
Well, back to work…
Laura
Thanks for the update on zandra…was worried
Yes, thanks for the update on Zandra, I’m relatively new to the chats but I do feel like family in the group! And could you put me in for 10 tickets please — $50 to the Sandy fund!
Thanks Laura for making it so easy to help out our friends back east-
I donated $20.00 to the Sandy fund:)
Thank you, Laura, for encouraging people to donate! You are so generous and caring! I was going to donate anyway but you made it super easy. I donated $25 (5 tickets) to the Red Cross. Thanks again!
Thank you for putting the link on your blog. The Red Cross was a God Send to us after Hurricane Ivan ripped through our community in 2004. I donated $20 ( 4 tickets).
I’m glad to hear that Zandra is ok. I hope that the recovery does not take too long.
Thanks for news of Zandra, sending thoughts and love.
We made our donation earlier in the week (we live in CT, and our son and daughter-in-law are in lower Manhattan), so if that still counts, then please put us in for 10 tickets (donation was $50.00). I just found your blog last week, after finding the Wardrobe Trunk on Pinterest. I was completely blown away by that project, and now that I’ve had a chance to peruse your blog (and subscribe), I just want to say ”Wow!” I know that’s not the most creative or articulate expression, but I really don’t think I can do justice to how I feel about your work. Thank you so much for the amazing inspiration!
Hi Laura, please put me down for 15 tickets ($75.00). Glad to hear that Zandra is okay. Possessions come and go but life is special. Many of my friends and family in Jersey and Long Island have lost some or all of their things but they are okay.
Hi Laura, Put me down for 3 tickets. 15.00 to sandy fund
Hi Laura-
You are sooo generous with your time and talents! Thank you and bless you for doing this! My prayers are with those on the east coast, especially my own relatives, who fortunately only have to deal with power outages at this time…
I made a donation for $50 for the Sandy Relief through IOCC.
Laura, please enter me for 10tickets for my $50.00 donation via Red Cross. Thanks for inspiring us.
My heart and prayers go out to all the victims of Sandy. Life happens and the sun will shine again. Thank you for the opportunity to own a Laura Original. At this time I would like to add 4 tickets to the drawing.
Laura thank you for your wonderful generousity. Having moved from Long Island to of all places Florida I know too well the devastation that the storms can bring. Thankfully my sisters still there came through it OK with only tree damage and loss of power. Please enter me for 3 tickets.
Thank you for doing this, please put me down for 5 tickets. My donation of $25.00 went to LICares. Lived most of my life on Long Island and went through several hurricanes, never saw it as bad as this. My heart is back there with all of my friends, family and everyone struggling to put their lives back together.
Please put me down for 5 tickets..I donated $25 to the Red Cross.
I can’t even imagine living thru what the east coast has had to deal with.
I just donated to the Red Cross. Please put me in for 10 tickets. Wish it could have been for more. With the holidays around the corner, I’ll be donating again in December. Blessings for all….kkmadre
