Today on my Ustream show I will be demoing Marbled Tags using alcohol ink and Singed flowers….these are things we will use in the Book of Memories project that starts on Friday. I will also demo the new Perfect Hinge binding system. This is a cousin of my super popular Stack the Deck binding. Just as easy but even more versatile! I think you are going to love it!
Also, I have had a BUNCH of requests for more kits for the Book of Memories. I won’t be making more of the two versions that are sold out, but I WILL be making another version using the gorgeous Bo Bunny C’est la Vie collection. This will have the flavor of both the Scribe AND the Firefly versions combined….kinda vintage, kinda feminine. I am awaiting confirmation of my product orders. Pending those confirmations, I will put those kits up tomorrow at 4 pm PST. These kits will ship mid to late next week. I may also extend the Book of Memories class a week to allow more page embellishing time. The pattern includes how to make the pages in the book but does not cover all of the embellishing, so I want to have plenty of time for that on Ustream. (This will move the Tea Time project back a week as well but that will allow plenty of time for the kitsto be delivered).
Todays class will stay over on Ustream for you to view whenever you wish after the show (I won’t be moving it over to the blog). I will be making a Youtube video of the Perfect Binding this week as well.

forgot to comment on the marbled tags. That looks like something even I can handle. I’ve had these alcohol inks and had no idea what to do with them! thanks for that, as well!
I love this hinge…I have used it before…you can also increase the hinge depth to 1/2″ or 3/8″ if you need the room for chunky embellishments.

Yep! As I mentioned on Ustream, the depth can be any width you want it to be. I have a project coming up with the depth at 1″ between pages. The part i love is that it works for any page type or material. The “fin” style is hidden inside a sleeve or envelope, the outside attachment works great for chipboard or acrylic pages and can be made with or without a pocket, and the the hinge can be extended to form the page itself. It truly is the “Perfect Hinge”!
